It was a very sunny Saturday, so Mack and his parents thought it was a good day to go to Ventura Zoo. Another reason to go there was because the zoo had just got a new stripey Sumatran tiger. Mack asked his parents if he could see it and they said yes. He went off to try to find the tiger, and, when he did, he tried to feed it some meat that he had been saving, because it looked hungry. The tiger snapped up the meat and brought Mack down with him, then the tiger started circling around him, looking angry.
Mack screamed and tried to get away, but the tiger was too quick for him and blocked his path.
Luckily, the zoo keeper got a cage and put an enormous steak in it. The tiger saw it and came bounding towards it. The zoo keeper quickly closed the door on the cage and he threw Mack a rope for him to climb up. The tiger was happy then because he had a nice, yummy piece of meat.
